Project Scientist
Stefani Crabtree (Ph.D. candidate, Washington State University and Université de Franche-Comté) has been conducting research in southwestern Colorado since 2009. She is primarily interested in understanding how human relationships in the past helped shape settlement decisions. Stefani uses agent-based modeling and network theory to examine these relationships.
Stefani also works in southern France and northern Mongolia and runs a popular blog that teaches agent-based modeling to the masses (simulatingcomplexity.wordpress.com). Stefani recently published on her work looking at exchange in the ancestral Pueblo Southwest in the Journal of Archaeological Method and Theory.
